IBMA Nominations Announced

JD Crowe has once again been nominated for
the Banjo Player of the Year award. The IBMA's award show will be held
October 2nd, 2008 in Nashville, TN.
SPBGMA Song of the Year Award

JD Crowe and The New South won the 2008
SPBGMA Song of the Year award for their latest projects' title cut,
"Lefty's Old Guitar." The award was presented in Nashville, TN on
February 3rd, 2008.
SPBGMA Award Nominations for JD and Crew

JD Crowe has a chance to add three more awards to his collection at the 34th Annual SPBGMA Bluegrass
Music Awards on Feb. 3rd in Nashville, TN. Nominations include Banjo Performer of the Year, Album
of the Year(Lefty's Old Guitar), and Song of the Year(Lefty's Old Guitar).
2008 Tour Kicks Off With New Band

The New South's 2008 Tour got underway Jan. 18th with a concert in Ashland, KY's Paramount Arts Center.
The band is featuring two new members this year and fans got their first "listen" to Steve Thomas on
fiddle and John Bowman on upright bass. The Tour continued Saturday night in Columbus, OH. and next
ventures into Nashville, TN for the SPBGMA events on Feb. 1st. Then down the road to the Station Inn on
Feb. 2nd.
Grammy Nomination for Lefty's Old Guitar

The nominees for the 50th Annual Grammy
Awards were announced on December 6th and JD's latest project, "Lefty's
Old Guitar" is nominated for Best Bluegrass Album! Fellow nominees in
this catagory are Cherryholmes, Jim Lauderdale, Seldom Scene, and Tony
Trischka. The Grammy Awards will be broadcast on CBS at 8PM ET,
February 10th, 2008.
IBMA Award for Lefty's Old Guitar

JD and Crew picked up the Album of the
Year award at the 2007 International Bluegrass Music Awards show on
October 4th. "Lefty's Old Guitar" tied for the award with the Infamous
Stringdusters' "Fork In The Road" project. The title track was
nominated for Song of the Year, JD was nominated for Banjo Player of
the Year, and Ron Stewart was nominated for the Fiddle Player of the
Year award.
